Good Friday

MrD woke me up this morning with the news that the garage in our village was on fire. Homes nearby had been evacuated during the wee small hours and no one was hurt. The main coast road was closed which made for chaos all morning. MrD was working and it's lucky he was heading in the opposite direction.

I thought of using a back road as an alternative route across the island to meet up with M. The usually quiet single track road became quite clogged up with diverted traffic and two large refuse lorries.
