Sanja matsuri

Adam and I went along to the Sanja Matsuri religious celebration in Asakasa today. It was really busy and very hot, but we were lucky enough to get quite a good view of proceedings in front of the shrine, where a lot of mikoshi (portable shrines) from the neighbourhoods of the area are brought to be blessed. At least, Adam got a good view, being rather taller than most of the rest of the crowd - I just got a view of heads!
