breaking catkins

As we were visiting and away from home, the Cooriedog walk took us alongside gorse clad seaside hills near Aberdeen.  We met five other dog walkers and said 'Good Morning' to all of them in a cheery voice and with a warm smile.  Four replied - the other was plugged into a 'phone.

The catkins were breaking.
