At Last
I went for quite a long walk around Tiptree this afternoon. I've been going for a little wander most days this week, and it's as wonderful as ever to watch the buds appear everywhere and then see them visibly develop and grow day by day. I love the delicate, wispy blossom you see at this time of year. The flowers of the fairies. And what a treat to hear so many different types of bird - the chaffinch, blue tit, dunnock, robin, sparrow, blackbird and my personal favourite, the plucky little song thrush which is still clinging on tenaciously in the face of a severely declining population.
At last, it really feels like spring is actually here.
Mum is still making steady but slow progress in regaining her strength. She managed to venture out to a couple of shops in the car, though her legs are still very weak. We're going to try and attend tomorrow's Easter Sunday Church service at St. Luke's if Mum's feeling up to it.
Thank you very much indeed for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for my 365th blip entry yesterday. The idea for blipping page number 365 in a book came from my sister, who joined us for lunch yesterday. I'm changing my journal title to reflect the fact that I'm no longer strictly a radio girl, though my user name will still be RadioGirl. Who knows if I'll ever do any work on radio programmes again? Keep reading to see What Happens Next...
