We're going on an Easter egg hunt!

For the third year in a row, we spent part of our Easter weekend over at Allen Banks doing the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt. Grace decided to stay at home - walking isn't her thing. She would much rather play Minecraft . As Hubby is laid up in bed with the norovirus, it was a good thing he had a nursemaid plus I didn't want to be on my own with all three if one was a moany pre-tween. The other two girls very much enjoyed each other's company. The Easter egg hunt itself was fab as ever, though muddy and scary in places (I'm not good with rope bridges), but the best part was afterwards when we had a picnic lunch and then time for the girls just to mess around together. They helped build a 'hedgehog house' with me and also made a 'campfire'. All the outdoor learning they've done has clearly helped build a lovely sense of adventure. Wonderful to spend this morning with them.
This afternoon we did some baking ready for a family get together tomorrow, then tonight the girls and I watched the final of The Voice. Our favourite contestant won :)
Grace has left out a home made carrot cake she made along with a very sweet postcard for the Easter bunny tonight.
