Ball of Fire

A lovely and varied day today. An hour of this morning was spent tucked away in a hide, watching a whole variety of birds come to the feeders, including this beautiful blue tit, a rather gorgeous greater spotted woodpecker and a handsome pheasant, who seemed happy to pose for me at length! 
This afternoon included supping coffee at the RNLI where the cafe has a wonderful view overlooking the Twin Sails Bridge.
And finally, there was the sunset, which developed from a lovely strip of mellow light into the ball of fire that, in the end, I simply couldn't resist blipping!

Sooo much trouble deciding today! The blue tit made it to my journal for a short while but the draw of the sunset proved to be too great! :))
