The motley crew

I took a group of kids from the Bridge Centre out on a day trip today as part of the Heritage Project I'm running. We went on a Seatrek boat trip to learn about some of the natural heritage of the islands, the boat dropped us at the Callanish stone where we had lunch, looked at the exhibition then had a explore (and a few games of hide and seek!) round the stones themselves. Finally we headed over to the Arnol Blackhouse where we did a quiz on the blackhouse and went back to Stornoway smelling of peat smoke. A day enjoyed by all, everyone very well behaved and they did learn something!
