Out and about

The weather is gorgeous today in Bordeaux, so we got out with our friends and had a good walk around.

The city is absolutely stunning. We've never been here before and have been blown away by the size, beauty and character of the place. It's totally exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely be back.

The picture isn't a montage but one of the various pieces of public art. It's a particularly striking sculpture, managing to look almost unreal from whatever angle you're looking at it. The effect is amplified in photos, but it's pretty odd-looking at in real life as well.

We've one more night here and then tomorrow we're heading off to visit other friends. A great little break away so far...
