Day 10: Grand Canyon, AZ, and Monument Valley, UT

Impressively we got ourselves up at 5am and drove into the park to watch the sunrise over the Grand Canyon. There was a bit of a cloud in the way but it was impressive nonetheless. We then took a walk out to Powell Point and a couple other lookouts and somehow managed to bump into a random Mountbatten. The Grand Canyon is impressive but id probably say it was a little overhyped.

In the afternoon we drove across to Monument Valley which I've always wanted to visit and lived up to the expectations the Grand Canyon didn't reach. We learnt a bit about Navajo culture at the visitor centre and managed to see the rocks from a few different viewpoints before the sun set.
