Easter Chickens?!

Well the blip had to be Easter gifts, Milly and Tilly with the blue eggs from the Easter Eggers Doris and Daisy and two from Tilly! Fat Cat nearly got blipped with them as she remained on her fat tummy and merely glared at them, first time she has ever stayed in the same place as them  - the chickens kept giving her a look and a cluck to make sure she didn't get any ideas about a chicken for her for an Easter treat! Was also tempted by the young Muscovy duck with a smile and a feather stuck on its beak!
My sister made the card and gift cards herself and my presents were chocolate bunnies, bugs, 4 chocolates with fondant Easter toppings, and of course a chocolate chicken!! She is an extremely accomplished crafter - embroidery, stump work, lace maker, crocheter, dolls house builder, paper and journal crafter. She does it all to an incredibly high standard - and fills the house with her stuff! Just finished a Basket and Bunnies Stall to add to her other six! They are extraordinary! She was born in the wrong era - should be living in a Jane Austen Novel! Am not sure which time or novel would suit me - have to think more on that one!!
Sister arrived at 9am and after several coffees we took Lucy for a long walk round the river bank and through the woods. Afternoon of playing with the assorted gifts etc before night time lock up on the allotment and an Easter meal of seared Scallops and King Prawns in Paprika and smoked salt! She is going to see if my tolerance for her company will last beyond the 4 day cut off!! She reckons as we are family and each have our own obsessive interests and can sit in silence happily for long periods as we indulge in them, that she is less likely to irritate me so quickly!!
Tomorrow is her Birthday and supposed to be the best day of the week - so off to  Pentillie castle which only has open days in Spring, it has a restored Kitchen Garden and Greenhouses so should be good! It is a family tradition to do gardens on holidays- my dad was a great gardener so its in our blood! Be good to do one we have not been to before!
So one day down and still smiling!
