Kingfisher hidden.

The modified view from Kingfisher Hide at WWF reserve Slimbridge. None seen today but a longer lens on a quieter day I'm sure will bring reward.
What mesmerized were the Rooks near this spot. A large Rookery (probably a couple of hundred individuals) is in full nesting swing and the cacophony, squabbling, gregariousness, construction and sheer exuberance of it all is a joy to behold. They too are far too savvy for me to get a decent close-up of them until I go back with many fewer visitors on the reserve.
