A Little Rain
When we picked up Dana and Jim and their dogs for a walk around Spring Lake this morning, we were told that we had exactly 40 minutes to make it around the lake before it began to rain. The 40 minute part turned out to be spot on, but we were only about half way around the lake. This large group with many dogs and lots of colorful rain gear caught my eye as we neared the end of our circuit, wet and a bit bedraggled. Unlike us, they were fully prepared for a walk in the rain.
OilMan made huevos rancheros for brunch at Jim and Dana's and I made the caramel frosted spice cake that the kids and I were going to make for Tim's birthday yesterday. By the time the toothbrush robot race track was built and the trial runs began, we had run out of time for the cake. Sorry, Tim. We owe you one…
By the time everybody slept off brunch and cake on Jim and Dana's large and comfy sectional, the sun had come out , the sky was a cloudless blue and it was time to make our way home to get ready for another week.
