Egg Hunt

It was the perfect day for an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt.

Although the kids couldn't find a single egg until their friend shared his loot (well, turns out we went to the areas that weren't graced by the egg-depositing staff), the kids had fun eating their treats right on the spot.

I must say though, that the organizers could've done a better job making sure the egg supply was adequate. For the longest time we wandered around the park with no luck. We were joined by families with similar expressions on their faces - kids went from excited and hopeful to tired and disappointed.

I even witnessed 2 families getting into a fight over an egg. A mom got an egg from the egg lady, hid it in the bushes for her kid to "discover", but the prized egg was discovered by another kid instead. Both moms insisted that they had the right to that particular egg. Before long, the snappy exchange escalated into a full on quarrel.

Yep. All that over a single egg.

I thought these things are supposed to be fun?
