Ruffles

He now has a name; it is Ruffles because he has a ruffled feather. For several days lately, early in the morning he has been pacing and calling outside our patio door. He seems to be looking for a mate. Most Gambel's Quails are seen in pairs or with a family grouping, but Ruffles is alone. We hope that someday he will find a girl friend, they will marry and raise a family of little quail.
