Vive la Vie

A day of madness!

The day started at 6am for me (or really 5am due to the clock change) as I had to squeeze in a long run before going to work for a five hour seminar for coaches. I ran to the Bois de la Cambre and came across the Belgian Scouts doing their 24 hour bike relay. They do this every year and camp out but I felt so sorry for them because it was pouring down and it was so muddy and they just looked exhausted.
I and lots of other disgruntled coaches attended the seminar which was okay but not beneficial to me and my coaching. We were told we didn't have a choice and had to attend and to change any previous plans! I was supposed to be supervising some of my students at a shelter for homeless pregnant girls but I managed to switch my day with someone else, thank goodness.
From there I had to head to a Sports' Stadium in Ixelles as Hubby has joined the adult team for kin-ball and he was playing in a tournament. The kids were sat in a corner reading and playing and basically entertaining themselves. We watched Daddy for a bit but the games are so complicated and last a long time so we headed home before returning to collect him later on. He really enjoyed it and came third in the tournament so he's looking forward to his next one.
