Not an Orc

I went in search of orcs this morning with LooseCanon and Technophobe, but unfortunately there were none to be seen (they were all packing up to go back to normality). There are "fantasy battle games" going on very near to our village this weekend, with about 1,200 people dressed up in various guises. The marketing info reads "The game is set in a powerful empire that is surrounded by hostile barbarians on all sides." Oh dear, I hope they don't think we're all hostile barbarians!
This is still a three lettered word beginning with O. An Eagle Owl.
C and I went to Mary Arden's Farm for a couple of hours this afternoon (another "ride out") and this bird was one of those in the falconry display. We have seen it many times before, and I always think it is a magnificent creature. It was a bit naughty after this and refused to return to the handler, so he just sat on a bench in the gorgeous sunshine for about half an hour, and waited. The bird continued to sit on a table and stare at him.
