First love

It was such a lovely day that we got an early start and went to Slimbridge WWT.  We had the best of the day, a lovely sunny morning with a slight chill (the makes you feel good to be alive kind of morning) and still tranquil.  There weren't many swans left but this cygnet looks to be pairing up for the first time.  When we left just before lunchtime there was a queue of people about 50m long, and then gridlock trying to get over Shepherds Patch swing bridge as they opened it for 3 boats to go through and then no-one coming in would let anyone coming out through so rather predictably nobody could go anywhere!  A bit of common sense and everybody would have got there quicker!  It didn't spoil the lovely time we had this morning though.  Back to work tomorrow but only for two days!
