Colourscape

Today we all went to waddesdon Manor to experience colourscape and enjoy the glorious weather. It was a wonderful day. First the boys went worth the big boys on another egg hunt and claimed their prize of yet more chocolate! Then we went into the colourscape tents. Entry was through a small opening in the canvas, which felt like entering a womb. In each section was different coloured canvas, some colours glowed and the red especially was almost too intense to absorb. Where there was more than one colour in close proximity the hues calmed on another so that felt relaxing to pass through. The strong yellow was warm, the blue calming, green energising, red very jarring. Finn really took everything in, stopping to listen to the sounds from the instruments in the bright white light section which felt very pure so made you focus on the noises. He also enjoyed walking through the tunnels a d sections with Ethan. They liked the dark section and slowly edged to the side to test where the edge of the canvas was. Yasmin was unsure at first but was mesmerised by the colour saturation. When we emerged it was lunch time so we chilled out under a tree with a picnic while the boys ran around and climbed trees. A great bank holiday Monday.
