Monday: Vintgar Gorge

We left Kranska Gora this morning to drive back to Zagreb.  On the way, we stopped off for a walk at Vintgar Gorge, near Lake Bled.  It's an amazingly scenic gorge with lovely wooden walkways so you can really get the experience of being in the middle.  It wasn't too busy - we were highly amused to see one guy walking his cat through the gorge on a leash.  I'd like to see us try with our two!

It's been a lovely weekend away, despite us being a little under the weather. The lovely place where we stayed helped - yesterday morning we were given an Easter hamper, containing a ham, walnut poppy cake (known as Potica), home-made horseradish and hand painted eggs - all traditionally Slovenian, we were told.
