Early Morning Flight

After a long wait we finally got the perfect spring day with clear sky and warm sunshine.

Hearing the fog horns at sea I went down to the beach as the sun was rising and took many pics. of the misty calm sea. 

At one end of the beach sitting in the water was a large flock of what my bird watching friend said were brent geese. Suddenly as if on a signal they all took to the air as one with a great deal of honking heading towards the feeding grounds on the other side of the Solent. A wonderful sight making the early start well worth while.

The rest of the day was spent finishing the spring jobs in the garden and relaxing in the welcome sunshine.
