View from North Bridge

Spokes Ride tomorrow, so spent the morning getting the bike ready. I really have to replace the drive train, but some bits are still on their way. So this consists of a quick wipe down, pumping up the tyres and oiling the chain. I only hope the chain doesn't break.

Afternoon is spent in town. As I walk across North Bridge I decide to take a photo looking east over the glass roof of Waverley Station.

In the distance, East Lothian and the Firth of Forth can be seen. The two chimneys of the old Cockenzie coal power station can be made out against the grey sky.

From the left, the obelisk is the Political Martyr's Monument, then The National Monument and Nelson's Monument on Carlton Hill. In the middle is Governor's House and St. Andrews House. On the right is the new City of Edinburgh Council Offices.
