City heartbeat

marks our walk down the Amstel.

Dougal took Little A and I for a walk ending in a Drover's lunch. Then a trip to the Nord to see every type of water vessel you could imagine: from a graffitied sub to a fishing boat, a paddle steamer, inumerable  ferries and a lightship. We had a good look at Pllek, a very cool place built of shipping containers, like the nearby village. Think post apocalyptic recyling gastronauts. They built their own beach with sawn in half boats for seating. Love it.
