Moving earth
I live in an area, where the mighty Columbia River (I've stepped over it in Canada where it starts as a little creek) makes a turn North. In this turn river rock has been deposited over thousands of years. Several decades ago a dike was build, to keep the river from repeatedly flooding the land. Out on the dike is a large operation to "harvest " the river rock and crush it into gravel and such. Heavy earth hauling trucks come and go. To me the heart of the operation is this guy; I've named him Mike Mulligan, after a children's book about a steam shovel. He keeps scooping up stuff, day after day after day... This is my monomonday: earth entry.
