Lincoln

On 30 Jan last year I blipped a view of the Old Calton Burial Ground at the east end of Princes St.

Today I was near the cemetery as I ran around the shops in town. For a Monday holiday it was a very active one.

In my previous blip from here I mentioned the memorial to the Scottish American soldiers who fought in the civil war.

Today the statue of Lincoln - the only one of him in Scotland - was striking in the early morning sun. As is often the case in Edinburgh in Spring, just behind me towards the river Forth the sky was foggy.

The day stayed clear with us and some long overdue weeding was undertaken, followed by a visit to my mother in North Berwick, then a few hours on IT!

Back to work tomorrow for a rest!
