Today was supposed to be a massive hanami party at Tsurumai park but due to the weather it was cancelled. Nonetheless, I spent time with my close friends and they threw a surprise birthday celebration for my birthday yesterday. It's really wonderful and unnecessary but so lovely. My friends got me a Lego Batman alarm clock and a Lego Darth Vader keychain. My neighbor made me lunch and got me a classic Batman poster. I'm seriously over the moon. To top it off, my friend's lovely girlfriend bought a Baskin & Robbins ice-cream cake. I go totally ape-shit for ice-cream cake. It was awesome. We drank home-made umeshu (plum wine) which was also lovely. Good times! Thank you.
