Newlands Valley mists

Woke to dense fog, the group seemed puzzled why I was so enthusiastic when visibility was so poor, but I hoped it was going to clear leaving an inversion - and oh boy it did! We drove along Newlands valley as far as Moss Force waterfalls, and climbed up onto the fell opposite. It was truly spectacular as the fog turned to this wonderful blanket of mist and slowly dissipated.

One of the best mornings in ages.

We spent a wonderful rest of the day at Crummock Water and Loweswater.
