Sheena's Gold

The shrub Duranta repens, commonly known as Sheena's Gold, has the this quite tiny purple/blue fllower. They are commonly used as screens & hedges, or as topiary. We inherited ours as topiary, but prefer a wilder look, so just give it an occasional haircut. They are disapproved of since, theoretically, birds eat the berries & spread the seeds indiscriminately. That said, I have not seen a bird eat a seed in a year
