Happy Easter! (#Lent with @CAFOD)

"This day was made by the Lord; we rejoice and are glad” (Psalm: 117:1-2, 16-17, 22-23)

And so, singing this hymn as we began our dawn Easter service at Quarrymill, I've reached the end of the Lent challenge I set myself on Ash Wednesday (as well as my other Lent preparations and fasting!).

It was a glorious morning to awaken early, to look out over Perth, blanketed in mist, and to see the sun rise so brightly to welcome this happy day.

Some days have been harder to photograph appropriately than others (sometimes I've failed miserably!), and it's all too quick to eat again those foods that have been put to one side over the past forty or so days. But I've enjoyed having something to mark Lent as I prepared for Easter.
