I was invited down to Musselburgh Races as a birthday gift, and had a cracking day apart from the betting, hence the detritus at my table.



It started badly, fell away then regained some semblance of good fortune only to end up losing a wee bit, some you a win and some you lose, such as is the fortune of the amateur horse gambler.
