New condo, old apartment

I saw this cool old building the other day. It's called Gerardo's Building and was built in 1928. It once housed apartments, among other things. The Internet tells me it's now a grocery store, but it sure seemed closed.

The condo tower is Summit At Copper Square, which opened in 2007.
