Yellow Cabs

Yellow cabs are everywhere in New York and thank goodness because our foray into the Subway was disasterous! We decided to get on the subway at Times Square and head for Greenwich Village. Unfortunately we bought tickets on the wrong side and a very kind lady told us to get on the next train but to get off at the next stop otherwise we'd have to pay again. So, we did but my husband then rushed over to a train waiting on the platform assuming that it would be going the other way. Wrong..... it was the express train to Harlem, no stops! Anyway, we survived and got to see two groups of lads break dancing on the speeding train using the poles and seat backs. Amazing performances but way out of our comfort zone. We made it back to Columbus Circle and got off to walk in Central Park. We never did get to Greenwich Village. Maybe next time :)
