When I mentioned Oamaru in my February 21st blip , mrshb70 messaged me to say her great uncle had had connections there. And so he did. Infact, this is one of two fountains he gifted the city in 1912,made of Italian marble and erected in the public gardens in 1915. Sadly not doing its thing today,but I'm told it is in working order.
