She must have been a knock out in her day and it still shows through, with grace and elegance :)

I'm volunteering my time with a center for the aging, to cover some of their events. I met her today at a black history month celebration -- postponed several times because of bad weather -- at the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. A lovely affair, full of sentiment on the one hand and fun on the other, ending with a dancing rendition of Pharell's "Happy." 

I capped the day at the performance from the New York City Ballet: a beautiful exercise in precision and elegance. Some days just feel very good. This was one of them :)
