Indian palm squirrel
Our last morning before flying back to London. The hotel grounds had mature trees at the back so I stood on the pool terrace for half an hour getting a last look at the fabulous birds I'd got used to by now. In half an hour I saw at close range Asian koels, brown-headed barbets, common tailorbirds, yellow-billed babblers and rose-ringed parakeets but my best photo is of this palm squirrel nibbling away at something in the early morning sun.
