A birthday cake for my friend Anne who sneakily turned forty over a month a go without me realising!

There are a few cherries missing, it turns out that some children prefer cherries to chocolate cake. Or maybe they have a sixth sense for vegetables and could detect the heaps of butternut squash which went into this?

I felt much better today, mostly just very tired. Andy came back from a few days working in Shetland which cheered me up immensely.
