Pukemiro.

Inland from us is an area rich in coal deposits where a number of small coal mining towns were established near the coal mines. Pukemiro is one such town. With most of the mines now closed these towns have been deserted leaving old cottages such as this one. Take note of the shape of the faded paint around the doorway where once was a porch or verandah.
