Serene morning on the Pond.
A lovely but slightly veiled sunrise as we set off for our early Thursday walk.
When we reached Coppice Pond all was serene. Lovely reflections, the swan and the Greylag happily paddling in the middle near the island and the western bank lined with early rising fishermen. ( See Corinthian Column and view large.) you can also see the Iris coming up fresh and green in the foreground. Lovely yellow flowers in about a month.
There was no rush of ducks and geese at the feeding station. The few that were there were only mildly interested. I think, like us, they were all just content to be there.
