Squatters

We had Swifts returning every year to nest in our eaves.  Then we had to have work done on the roof, so we put up 2 Swift boxes (at great expense).  Needless to say, the Swifts have not been back for the last 2 seasons.  One box was used by House Sparrows last year, and this year it looks as if the other is being taken over by Starlings.  At least they will cause less trouble in there than they do in the lofts.  We are still hoping the Swifts will return.
