Mate Flies To A New Perch
It was another "eagle watching day"! There was lots of action at the nest again today, with a rogue eagle making a visit. This put the pair into flight and fight mode, with the male going after the intruder and the female leaving the nest for a far away perch in an outlying cedar tree. There were several close calls in the air, some claws showing and some upside down maneuvering! You will find photos in my flickr set.
This photo was taken when the male left the nest earlier in the day for a new perch.
Tonight we watched the nest until 8:15....both of the eagles left the nest for their nighttime perch in some trees nearby the nest. NO EGG today!
