Purple Haze

We have had a high pollution alert this morning. I am coughing in my living room, never mind up on primrose Hill.

It reminds me of the air in Hong Kong before Chinese factories closed down for New Year. Breathing is difficult, the air leaves a metallic tang on the lips and  your hands are covered in a grubby dust and  your eyes sting. 

The dust I am told is sand from the Sahara, which also brings 'blood rain'.
