Sunrise over Perch Lighthouse

It was another stunning morning.  On the way into Glasgow I stopped at Port Glasgow to capture the sun as it was rising over the River Clyde.

I have blipped the Perch Lighthouse many times and I am sure this will not be the last.

This photo shows the lighthouse and navigable channel between Port Glasgow and Dumbarton, which continues all the way to the centre of Glasgow.

Port Glasgow as the name suggests was once the port for Glasgow. The creation of the channel sounded the end to harbour trade in Port Glasgow.
