Sizewell B

A splendid six mile walk around Sizewell. The views of the nuclear power stations were surprisingly interesting and, in places, surreal. The surrounding countryside was full of wildlife, not least at the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, where we spotted some creatures we could definitely identify as birds. Of course, no excursion into the countryside would have been complete without a visit to a pub - today's being the superb Eel's Foot Inn, in the tiny village of Eastbridge, where there was extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient service, terrific sandwiches and, of course in Suffolk, Adnams.
