Tawny Frogmouth

Wednesday....We visited Birdland with the family...the sun shone and there were lots of talks on the birds and also the keepers got some of the birds out for the children to hold and to see close-up. Two of my favourite birds were there, the kookaburra and the tawny frogmouth. The frogmouth was adopting its best branch impression with its eyes shut and I couldn't resist using it as my blip.

We had lunch in Bourton village centre and then dropped into the model village or "mini Bourton" as my great niece christened it. Then it was on to the toy shop for the purchase of a mini mermaid that swam in a bucket of water on the patio to great effect. Glorious sunshine...a fabulous day.
