The hottest day of the year

So far.

It didn't really feel that hot, to be honest, certainly not hot enough for me to have a dip in the Lido, but there were plenty of other people doing it.

The only time I've actually ever been in the icy Lido was to prove to the children that they were just making a fuss and the water wasn't really THAT cold.

It was.

But it was hot enough for flip flops today. And we got the tent out in the back garden, and there was briefly talk of sleeping outside. Thankfully they appear to have forgotton about that now.

The other sign that it was THDOTYSF was that I bought the ingrediants for Aperol Spritz, which I've been looking forward to all day.
