Edward 1 Monument

We knew the Lake District would be busy today as the weather is still good and the weekenders would be coming in. We decided  to have a drive to the top of the Solway Firth. Edward 1 monument stands on the Solway plain at Brough by Sands, it must be 30+ years since we last  visited it. So after lunch in the village we walked along the lane and over the grass up to the monument. The photo I've chosen was taken from further away as it shows the mist is still lingering over Scotland and the sand banks of the Solway plus of course the sheep and lambs.
