It's Grim Up North

Askham

Was in the supermarket by 8.30am. Glad I had a trolley to hold on to.

Plasterer finished bedroom ceiling and, as he left, said "thank you for your hospitality" which was cheering.

Then off to Askham to have lunch with friends who are on holiday in the Lakes. Only known Jane for 49 years. Her dad was with them, looking rather frail. He still hasn't come to terms with us being old enough to drive cars.

That's two old school friends in one week, pretty good going.

Home via the scenic route; this is looking towards Haweswater, above Bampton Grange.
