Smell or Scent?

Was struggling for a flower blip today so we decided to go to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens to see if there were any flowers...

There were!  Lots of beautiful magnolias, camellias, daffodils and some very exotic varieties of hot house plants.

BUT  I'd never seen one of these before!  It's perfume went before it and then we saw these wonderful yellow trumpet like flowers and realised that that was where the smell was coming from.  It wasn't deeply unpleasant, but it was a bit peculiar and I don't think I would wear it as a perfume.

This lovely specimen is a Skunk Cabbage...
