Dunmore House

After lunch with Tom H we had a walk around the Dunmore Estate. The main attraction here is The Pineapple, an eccentric building constructed -- believe it or not-- in the shape of a pineapple and now in the care of the National Trust. More fascinating however are the ruins of Dunmore House which must have been a grand edifice in its time. Although long since ruined many of the features of the building are still clear and some of the stonework is in good condition. Surpisingly there appear to be no barriers to exploring the ruins. This blip is of what was the front of the house.
