Making the Terracotta warriors

Originally, the emperor wanted to kill 8000 children so that by the time he died they would be grown up and in his mind ready to fight for him in the after life. His advisor persuaded him against this horrendous idea by saying that it might cause him more enemies in this life. The Terracotta warriors were the advisor suggestion as a solution to this problem. Apparently, many people involved in their whereabouts had to die too. This is why no one knew where they were until a farmer dug one up in 1974.
