MAD

Visited the MAD museum in Stratford-upon-Avon today against my better judgement. How wrong I was. I small museum full of Heath Robinson type mechanical devices all constructed for some, little or no purpose.

The kids had great fun building their own marble run and playing music via a typewriter with long, hidden wires linked to a dresser full of bottles of water (of course), but my favourite was the Standard Time clock by Mark Formanek. Perhaps it's 'cos I'm married to a builder. Insanely entertaining and completely pointless.
